Residual ACT®

The ACT® test gauges high school students’ general educational level and their ability to complete college-level work. Boise State University uses the multiple-choice test for admissions. It covers four skill areas: English, Mathematics, Reading, and Science. To take the Residual ACT® you must be an incoming Boise State University student who cannot take the ACT® on the regular national test dates. No one other than Boise State University receives scores from this exam. No student reports or high school reports are generated, and no score reports will be sent to any other school. You may not repeat residual testing until 60 days have passed since your last attempt.

Fees and Instructions

You MUST pre-register for this exam. To register for the exam, please go to our Registerblast System
The test takes 4.5 hours to complete. Dismissal occurs after proctors account for all exam materials.
ACT® mails scores out within two weeks of testing.
Bring a current photo ID, #2 pencils with erasers, and the confirmation email you get from ACT®.
